Your Park. Our Passion.
Parks Make Life Better! There has perhaps never been a time when this has been more true than now. The Aitkin City Park Committee understands the important role that parks and recreational opportunities play for Aitkin's physical, mental and emotional health and wellness.

The mission is to enhance the quality of life by providing well-maintained parks and public places; preserving open space; caring for people; safety; and strengthening the bonds of community.

Community Engagement and Design Process
Parks are one of the quickest and most effective ways to build a sense of community!
Community engagement is the process of working collaboratively with individuals and groups to achieve specific goals. For park and open spaces, community engagement allows the Aitkin Community Park and Recreation Subcommittee to directly involve our community members in the ongoing design, planning, and management of these resources. This process results in informed and engaged residents that feel better connected to their communities.
